Independent for Congress interviewed about Palin’s book…

Independent for Congress is mentioned in a newspaper article about former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s book. Dean Moore, and independent running for Missouri’s 7th Congressional District (the Southwest corner of the state), was interviewed in a newspaper article about people lining-up to get Sarah Palin’s book signed.

Chad Livengood writes on News-Leader.com, “Dean Moore… said Palin's life experiences resonate well with people in the Midwest. ‘She's the polar opposite of Nancy Pelosi… The kind of person who thinks very highly of Nancy Pelosi isn't going to catch this fever.’

The mention of Moore was buried at the end of the article about the Palin event in Springfield, Missouri. Moore is trying to win the seat being vacated by Representative Roy Blunt. One more note, Dean Moore is not the only more running for the seat, Republican Darrell Lee Moore is running as a republican in the race.

Palin Book: Lieberman encouraging to Palin

In the former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s new book “Going Rouge” she describes Independent Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberaman as being very supportive in her Vice Presidential run.

Jeffrey A. Trachtenberg writes about the new book on WSJ.com. Trachtenberg wrote Governor Palin singled out Senator Lieberman as being very supporting when debate preparations were “becoming overwhelming”.

The book quotes Lieberman telling Palin to, “Be yourself… Don’t let these people try to change you. Don’t let them tell you what to say and how to think.”

Is Palin gearing-up for a Third Party?

Is former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin really gearing-up for a Third Party? CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby writes on CNN.com, Sarah Palin is making some robo-calls in Virginia right before Tuesday’s election. The funny thing is that Palin did not mention any candidate.

According to the CNN report the recording says, “Virginia, hello, this is Sarah Palin calling to urge you to go to the polls Tuesday and vote for Sarah’s principles. The eyes of America will be on Virginia and make no mistake about it, every vote counts. So don’t take anything for granted, vote your values on Tuesday, and urge your friends and family to vote, too.” The recording does not mention Bob McDonnell the Republican gubernatorial candidate.

The report says, “the phone blitz was paid for by the Virginia Faith and Freedom Coalition, the state branch of a national conservative group founded by former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed.” In fact team-McDonnell said they did not know about the phone blitz before it took place.

Is former Governor Palin trying to help a conservative, or is she building a base for a possible third party libertarian-style Presidential run in 2012? Hmm… we only have about two more years to wait and find-out.

Sarah Palin backs third party candidate…

A note posted on Sarah Palin’s Facebook page made it very clear who she supports in the special election in New York’s 23rd Congressional District, and it is not the Republican candidate.

Palin writes, “The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches!”

Doug Hoffman is the Conservative Party candidate who is running as the self-described only Conservative candidate in the race. Many conservative republicans are running from the liberal-leaning Republican hand-pick candidate Assembly woman Dede Scozzafava.

Palin also writes, “I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district… my political action committee, SarahPAC, (is donating) to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.” She continues, “And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine. Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.”

The former Alaska Governor ended the note by asking for people to donate money to Hoffman’s campaign.

Palin For President, as a Libertarian?

Palin For President, as a Libertarian? It is the topic of a column by Phil Manger on NolanChart.com.

The last part of first paragraph sums-up the article, “we libertarians — at long last — may have found in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin a Presidential candidate who is both acceptable and electable.”

Manger’s arguments of Palin include: She resonates with Middle Americans, She is libertarian on the issues that matter most, People pay attention to what she says, Palin is a true "Teflon candidate", Ron Paul is not available.

He sees a few faults in Palin including: She's a little too close to the neocons, I'm not sure of her views on civil liberties, Palin may not want to be President.

Manger wraps-up saying Sarah Palin’s husband Todd being a member a former member of the Alaskan Independence Party could be favorable for a Libertarian run.
