Another endorsement for Conservative Party Congressional candidate…

Another endorsement for Conservative Party Congressional candidate Doug Hoffman. In a news release, the Government Is Not God political action committee announced its endorsed for Doug Hoffman. Hoffman is running in the Special Election for New York’s 23rd congressional district.

The news release quoted Government Is Not God political action committee chairman William J. Murray saying, “There are three candidates in the special election for the 23rd district and only one is a conservative; that conservative is Doug Hoffman.”

The release continued to question the Republican Party’s leadership. Chairman Murray questioned why the Republicans would chose Dede Scozzafava as their candidate. The release questioned Scozzafava’s social stands and added, “(e)conomic conservatives cannot support her because of a long record of profligate spending and support of higher taxes.” The release continued to question Scozzafava over her money connection to groups that support liberal causes.

The release ended with, “It is fortunate that there is a strong third party available in New York to field a candidate that is an alternative to the two liberals that the Democrat and Republican Parties have put forward as candidates in the 23rd.”

Doug Hoffman writes letter on conservative blog…

Doug Hoffman writes letter on conservative blog redstate.com. Conservative Party candidate Doug Hoffman explained why they should vote for him, and why he could not get the Republican nomination for the New York Congressional Special Election for District 23.

The letter starts with Hoffman writing, “I am not your run of the mill politician (maybe that’s why the NRCC didn’t like me).” His letter continued to explain that he is concerned with a high tax rate and the national debt.

His letter wrapped-up with comparing his campaign to the 1980 US Olympic Hockey “Miracle on Ice” team. Hoffman was a corporate comptroller for the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid. Candidate Hoffman pointed to the hockey team’s defeat of the Russian team raising national pride. Hoffman said his candidacy could do the same thing, and “send a message to Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi … and set the stage for us to reclaim our national pride and our American values.”
