Independent American Party candidate gets record campaign violation fine… in Nevada.
Multiple media sources in Nevada are reporting the Independent American Party candidate for Washoe County clerk, Zachary Triggs was hit with a huge fine.
The LasVegasSun.com report says a Carson City District Judge fined Triggs $54,303 for failing to file required reports. The judge got that total from: $15,000 in civil penalties for failing to file the reports, $33,369 in attorneys’ fees and $5,934 in interest.
Secretary of State Ross Miller says he believes the previous penalty record was $37,000.
To make it even worse, Triggs lost the race only getting 20-percent of the vote.
